Currently there is no documentation of global explorers. Type explorers could be documented in the man.rst of the type man page -- but are (mostly?) not.

  • should there be a standard-way to document global exporers, i.e. explorer/<explorer-name>.rst?
  • in particular for #558: should the documentation of type explorers be mandatory in man.rst?

Most global exporers are currently rather simple and the meaning can be guessed from the filename - with a growing number of explorers this might change though.
