For PreOS to boot from drive/usb additionally the following need to be configured:

  • setup root password and/or ssh authorized key
  • ensure ssh server is started at boot
  • configure boot loader (grub)
  • install boot loader (grub) (optional param with drive specification - for PXE this is not needed).

PreOS architecture:

  • preos subcommand: config subclass with preos marker?
  • think about preos triggering params, above ssh keys and grub params
