Checking the __prometheus_exporeters type, I see it's a product of its time.
Nowadays node_exporter and blackbox_exporter are nicely packaged for many OS (not the case with ceph_exporter).

Ideally the manual compilation would be optional and the default should be to use the OS' packages, right?
