The os explorer returns suse for all SuSE derivatives (SuSE Linux, SLES, openSUSE) up until 15.x.
openSUSE Leap (15.x) (maybe SLES too?) has no /etc/SuSE-release file anymore, so the os explorer does not return suse, but falls back to /etc/os-release and returns opensuse-leap.
This doesn't look like the way it was initially conceived.

The os explorer should either distinguish between different SuSE releases or also return suse for new versions.

To the contrary, Solaris and all illumos derivatives return solaris.
There are big differences between the different illumos distributions.
I believe that the os explorer should distinguish between them.

what do you think?
Maybe an os_type explorer grouping the different distributions would be useful?
